Who are we looking for at NexaRob?

At NexaRob, we implement automation and robotics projects in many industries, such as automotive, food, chemical and electronics. To meet such a wide range of activities, we need specialists with diverse skills - from programming industrial robots and PLC integration, through the implementation of vision systems and AI, to service and modernization of production lines. Below, we present the first part of our list of roles and specializations in which we particularly appreciate the support of experienced contractors.

Industrial robot programmers and integrators

Six-axis robots, SCARA, Delta

Role description: Specialists who can configure, calibrate and program robots from many manufacturers, such as ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Kawasaki, Yaskawa, Mitsubishi or DENSO. This usually includes knowledge of languages such as ABB RAPID, FANUC Karel, KUKA KRL, Kawasaki AS or Yaskawa INFORM.

Tasks:
Writing code to control robot movement,
Optimizing trajectories and production cycles,

Collaborative robots (cobots)

Role description: Programmers and implementers who know the specifics of safety and interaction with people. Example tools include URScript (Universal Robots), TIA Portal (for Siemens cobots), as well as mobile AMR platforms.

Tasks:
Creating cobot motion programs.
Defining safety zones and presence sensors.
Developing intuitive interfaces for operators.
Designing processes in which humans and robots work together effectively.

Integration with PLC controllers and automation systems.

Ladder Logic (LD), Structured Text (ST), Instruction List (IL).

Role description: Engineers who can efficiently create control logic in traditional PLC languages, as well as configure hardware (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi).

Tasks:
Developing programs for controlling production lines.
Optimizing communication between PLCs and robots, sensors, and vision systems.
Testing and calibrating process parameters.
Detecting and eliminating faults during production downtime.

Modern tools and standards (IEC 61131-3, TIA Portal, TwinCAT).

Role description: Programmers who, in addition to classic environments, can work in more advanced systems (e.g., Beckhoff TwinCAT, B&R Automation Studio, Codesys) and are familiar with international standards.

Tasks:
Integration of different types of controllers in a single architecture.
Implementation of industrial protocols (Profinet, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP).
Support in analyzing the performance and quality of signals from sensors.

Vision system specialists

2D and 3D image processing

Role description: Image processing engineers (OpenCV, Halcon, Matrox or vendor-specific libraries) who can create algorithms for object detection, quality control, dimensional measurements or assisting in the navigation of mobile robots.

Tasks:
Design and implementation of modules that analyze images from cameras.
Selection of hardware (cameras, lighting, filters) and configuration of vision stations.
Calibration of 2D/3D systems and testing under production conditions.
Integration with robots (e.g., transferring coordinates to the manipulator) and control systems.

AI-powered computer vision

Role description: Experts combining classic image processing algorithms with machine learning (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, YOLO), creating intelligent systems for recognizing product defects, classifying objects or controlling based on visual analysis.

Tasks:
Creation and training of AI models for vision applications.
Optimization of performance on edge devices (e.g., GPU cards, Jetson, Movidius).
Data management and labeling to accurately recognize defects or patterns.
Design of prototypes and implementations on production lines using robots.

Data analysts and AI engineers

Machine learning and deep neural networks

Role description: People designing and training AI models for vision tasks, adaptive control or failure prediction (Predictive Maintenance). Tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or scikit-learn should be familiar to you inside and out.

Tasks:
Analysis of data from sensors, cameras and system logs;
Creation of algorithms for classification, detection or prediction of critical states.
Deployment of models in an industrial environment (edge computing, cloud, GPU/FPGA).

Big Data and stream processing

Role description: Specialists in the field of analyzing large volumes of data (e.g. robot logs, PLC registers, MES systems), capable of building pipelines for streaming processing and visualization (Spark, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Grafana, etc.).

Tasks:
Creation of an architecture for acquiring, storing and processing data;
Integration of analytics with control systems (providing real-time information on anomalies and critical deviations).
Implementation of projects supporting Predictive Maintenance and intelligent robot control.

Engineers and installers for assembly, commissioning and service.

Production line installers.

Role description: Field work involving the installation and configuration of robotic equipment (manipulators, cobots, vision systems) as well as PLC controllers, sensors or communication modules.

Tasks:
Mechanical and electrical assembly of robots and peripherals.
Performing motion tests, axis and sensor calibration.
Cooperation with robot programmers and PLC engineers to achieve production readiness.

Service technicians and modernizers.

Role description: Specialists ready to travel to the installation site (or work remotely if possible), diagnose faults, perform repairs and software updates.

Tasks:
Preventive inspections, replacement of worn parts and minor repairs,
Optimization of motion parameters, production cycles,
Modernization of older installations - adding new devices, reprogramming for new products or workflows.

Consultants for advisory services, ROI and process organization

Technology and industry advisors

Role description: Experts who understand the specifics of particular industries (food, automotive, chemical, electronics, etc.), who can propose optimal robot implementations and present a path for automation development.

Tasks:
Creation of concepts for production lines or point robotic applications.
Selection of equipment and tools, taking into account the realities of a given plant.
Development of long-term expansion/modernization strategies.

Consultants for ROI (Return on Investment)

Role description: Financial and technical analysts who can calculate the profitability of robot implementations, supporting customers in making investment decisions.

Tasks:
Analysis of costs and potential savings (cycle time, reduction of defects, lower energy consumption),
Design of simulations "what if..." - e.g. assembly scenarios, internal logistics or integration with vision systems.
Presentation of conclusions in a clear way for management staff, improving the decision-making process.

IoT integrators and cloud data platform specialists

IoT (Internet of Things) in industry

Role description: Specialists who can create IoT architectures, connecting robots, PLCs, sensors, and edge devices with the cloud. Knowledge of protocols (MQTT, OPC UA) and the ability to integrate with services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud are important.

Tasks:
Implementation of communication modules (data transmission from the factory to the cloud),
Security configuration (encryption, authorization),
Designing interfaces for remote monitoring and management of production lines in real time.

Cloud data platforms

Role description: Engineers involved in configuring, scaling, and maintaining systems in the cloud, used for analyzing and storing large volumes of industrial data.

Tasks:
Creating data pipelines and Data Lake services (S3, BigQuery, etc.),
Automation of deployments (CI/CD), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes),
Integration of AI/ML modules with robots via cloud APIs or edge containers,
Ensuring high availability (HA) and system reliability.

Security and compliance specialists

Safety of machines and robots (occupational health and safety, industry standards)

Role description: People who know the safety regulations and standards applicable in a given industry or region (e.g., ISO 10218-1/-2 standards for industrial robots, EU Machinery Directive), who can advise and implement appropriate protection measures.

Tasks:
Security audit of robotic workstations (zones, sensors, light curtains),
Risk assessment and documentation creation (taking into account regional standards),
Support in designing cobot applications to minimize hazards.

IT and data compliance

Role description: Specialists who understand cybersecurity standards in industrial systems (IEC 62443) and regulations regarding data protection (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).

Tasks:
Verification of communication security and data storage in automation environments.
Creation of security policies that take into account the specifics of Industry 4.0.
Consulting on compliance with government and industry requirements.

Project managers and implementation team leaders

Management of automation projects

Role description: Project managers with experience in the industrial sector who can plan implementation schedules, coordinate the work of specialists (programmers, service technicians, engineers), and build clear communication with clients.

Tasks:
Defining milestones, planning budget and resources.
Monitoring progress, responding to risks and obstacles.
Providing a point of contact for the client and support in resolving problems between the team and the customer.

Coordination of international teams

Role description: Leaders of multicultural and multi-industry teams (e.g., programmers from one part of the world, installers in another). It is necessary to understand time zone differences and the specifics of working in different regions.

Tasks:
Creating schedules adapted to time zones and customer deadlines.
Mediation in situations requiring rapid information flow.
Ensuring consistency of documentation and implementation standards so that each team member can freely continue the work of another.
